HyperPilot

A satellite-fed onboard system converts voyage plans into speed instructions and adjusts engine output. Crews supervise execution, receive deviation alerts and retain control when operating limits require disengagement.

About HyperPilot

Supervised speed execution helps vessel crews and shore teams apply voyage plans through the propulsion system. HyperPilot, the onboard automation system from DeepSea Technologies, connects recommendations with engine-output adjustments. The workflow brings plan delivery, speed-pilot control and ongoing checks into the vessel’s operating routine under the captain’s supervision.

Pythia, the voyage-planning platform, supplies route and speed plans from the shore team through a satellite connection. The onboard system interprets the plan as waypoint-to-waypoint speed instructions and interfaces with the vessel’s speed-pilot unit. Integrations include Nabtesco, Kongsberg and Manta Marine speed-pilot providers. The execution workflow also connects the route file through ECDIS, the electronic chart and navigation system, to the propulsion arrangement.

The onboard system checks position, speed and operating conditions while applying the plan. It notifies users of deviations and disengages when course, schedule or operating-limit checks require it. The captain retains control, and the supplier’s captains and naval engineers support integration and crew training. These plan, control and notification functions support the team’s supervised execution of voyage-speed decisions through the connected propulsion system.

How it works

Sense
Read vessel position, speed and operating-condition inputs.
Connect
Receive shore voyage plans through the satellite connection.
Analyze
Convert waypoints into instructions for the speed-pilot unit.
Act
Adjust propulsion, flag deviations and retain crew control.

Questions and answers

How do shore-generated voyage plans reach HyperPilot?

Pythia route and speed plans are transferred onboard through a satellite connection.

Which speed-pilot providers integrate with the propulsion workflow?

Integration choices include Nabtesco, Kongsberg and Manta Marine.

Does the captain retain control during automatic speed execution?

Yes. The workflow operates under the captain’s supervision and disengages when the course, schedule or operating-limit checks require it.

What adoption support accompanies the HyperPilot integration?

The supplier’s captains and naval engineers support onboard integration and crew training.

How is this deployment priced?

Every page carries a cost estimate by IoT Apps for your own sites and assets; set your budget and invite DeepSea Technologies (Nabtesco) to confirm a price and lead time.

What does a deployment cost?

For 1 site with 10 monitored assets in United States, IoT Apps estimates $7,800 – $22k in the first year and $400 – $1,500 every year after. This is an estimate based on comparable deployments, not a quote from DeepSea Technologies (Nabtesco).
