HydroView for flood monitoring

Field radar instruments pass water level and velocity readings to a connected station logger. HydroView stores the received data, evaluates configured thresholds and sends email or SMS alerts to subscribed staff.

About HydroView for flood monitoring

River and reservoir stations provide changing water measurements for hydrology and response teams. Geolux connects selected level and velocity instruments with field dataloggers and HydroView, the monitoring application for history, alarms and site management. The application relates each received measurement to its monitoring station and presents the selected parameters in graphs, gauges and maps. Staff review the history when assessing rising levels or changing discharge.

Radar instruments use compatible serial or Modbus interfaces to pass readings to the datalogger. A selected station uplink carries the record onward using the agreed cellular or satellite arrangement. HydroStation supplies an integrated option with a solar panel, battery, datalogger and water-level or velocity instruments. The logger manages the connected inputs and supplies received records to the application.

Teams define water-level alarm thresholds and subscribe the relevant users to email or SMS notifications. Separate station-health alarms, including battery voltage, support maintenance review. User permissions organise access across groups of sites, and data exports supply readings to other analysis systems. Supported logger integrations also provide remote configuration and firmware updates, giving administrators a way to manage the station parameters through the same application.

How it works

Sense
Measure river or reservoir level and selected surface velocity.
Connect
Pass field readings through the configured logger uplink.
Analyze
Compare station history and evaluate water-level thresholds.
Act
Send subscribed alerts and review station maintenance signals.

Questions and answers

Can flood-level alarms go to different users from battery-voltage alarms?

HydroView organises alarms into categories. Users subscribe to the categories relevant to their role, including high-water and low-battery alarms.

What equipment does the integrated HydroStation arrangement combine?

HydroStation combines selected radar instruments, a datalogger and communication module, mounting accessories, a solar panel and a battery.

Which station equipment supports remote configuration through the application?

HydroView provides remote parameter management and firmware updates for supported SmartObserver and SmartObserverPlus dataloggers.

How is this deployment priced?
