Regional forecasts do not capture frost, overheating, wind, dew, or humidity differences within individual farms. Terrain and crop structure can create local risks that change between blocks and greenhouse zones. Operators may spray, sow, ventilate, or protect crops using conditions measured too far away. Farm teams need timely microclimate evidence at the point of work.

How Farm Microclimate Risk Monitoring addresses it

Farm Microclimate Risk Monitoring distributes weather stations and sensor nodes across fields, orchards, and protected crops. The hosted interface maps temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, pressure, leaf wetness, and related trends, with email or SMS alerts for configured limits. Operators use local evidence to plan frost response, spraying, ventilation, sowing, and other weather-sensitive work.

How it works

A solar-powered AgroSense Base is installed for the production area and supplemented with battery-powered nodes at representative microclimates. Integrated or external sensors measure weather and crop-environment parameters at scheduled intervals. Nodes send data by proprietary radio to the base, which forwards it through GPRS to the hosted AgroSense server. Operators view mapped measurements and historical charts in a browser and receive email or SMS alerts when limits are reached. They then schedule weather-sensitive field or greenhouse work using conditions recorded at the site.

SenseField weather stations and movable nodes measure temperature, humidity, rain, wind, pressure, leaf wetness, and soil conditions.
ConnectNodes transmit over proprietary sub-GHz radio to the solar-powered AgroSense Base, which uploads farm measurements by GPRS.
