RadioSecure WTS

Temperature probes connect to a rechargeable radio logger and send measurements through a compatible master. Cold-chain teams compare three cargo zones, examine the history and organise checks on changed conditions.

About RadioSecure WTS

Separate temperature records help cold-chain staff examine conditions across the zones inside a cargo chamber. Envotech's RadioSecure WTS, the wireless temperature sensor unit, connects to as many as three wired probes. Each probe represents its own zone, bringing local readings into the compatible master and hosted monitoring workflow.

The WTS logs temperatures at a 30-second interval and relays the record through a proprietary local radio connection. A RadioSecure master receives the values for onward reporting in the connected system. A rechargeable battery operates the temperature unit, and an external 12 V DC supply is also supported. The unit can be permanently installed in the chamber or mounted using a magnetic fixing, with probe cables reaching the selected measurement locations.

Staff examine the separate zone readings and their history to identify a temperature change that warrants a cargo or refrigeration check. The application presents records in charts and tables, retaining the measurements available through the installed master. Technical support covers hardware and software integration for the selected arrangement. The physical probe positions define which parts of the load the records represent, and the operating team uses those records when choosing the required handling response.

How it works

Sense
Collect temperatures from up to three wired chamber probes.
Connect
Relay logged zone values by local radio to the cargo master.
Analyze
Compare the separate zone readings in charts and history tables.
Act
Check the load and refrigeration after a temperature change.

Does it fit your project?

Best suited to

  • Refrigerated cargo operating teams
  • Multi-zone temperature chambers
  • Mobile and static cold-chain assets

You need

  • WTS unit and wired probes
  • Compatible RadioSecure master
  • Rechargeable battery or external supply
  • Hosted temperature charts and records

Limitations

  • Maximum three probes per WTS
  • Requires compatible local radio master
  • Requires representative temperature probe positions
  • No automatic refrigeration actuator control

Questions and answers

How many separate cargo zones can one WTS measure?

One WTS connects to three wired temperature probes, providing readings for three selected zones.

What powers the WTS temperature unit?

It uses a rechargeable battery and supports an external 12 V DC supply. Permanent and magnetic mounting arrangements are available.

Does the WTS temperature logger require its own cellular SIM?

The WTS relays readings by local radio to a compatible RadioSecure master, which supplies the connected system reporting path.

How frequently does the WTS log the probe readings?

It logs temperature at a 30-second interval before relaying the record through its local radio connection.

How is this deployment priced?

What does a deployment cost?

For 1 site with 10 monitored assets in United States, IoT Apps estimates $1,400 – $4,700 in the first year and $300 – $1,000 every year after. This is an estimate based on comparable deployments, not a quote from Envotech.
