Water network measurements for utility operating teams

Field instruments send pressure, flow, level and water-quality readings through NB-IoT or LTE-M gateways to software. Utility teams review network changes, follow measurement events and use the records for operating checks.

About Water network measurements for utility operating teams

Distributed measurements help water utilities review conditions across pipes, storage points and hydraulic assets. Datakorum connects field instruments with cellular gateways and data-processing software. The workflow brings pressure, flow, level and water-quality inputs into a central operating view for examining measured changes across the water network.

Instrument interfaces include Modbus, M-Bus, wireless M-Bus, 4–20 mA, 1–10 V and I²C within the gateway range. NB-IoT or LTE-M carries the collected records over the mobile network. TRANGO IoT Device Management, the data and device-management platform, receives readings and prepares them in a common format. Fleet-status checks, remote configuration and firmware updates support the gateway arrangement and its communication path to the destination system.

Utility staff examine measurement records and changes that prompt an operating check. Pressure or flow variations provide context for investigating a possible leak, break or equipment problem. Centralised records support trend analysis and coordination of the next field task. Data-flow checks identify reporting faults so the team follows both the measured network conditions and the state of the gateways supplying those records.

How it works

Sense

Questions and answers

Which instrument signal types support the water-network gateway range?

The range supports Modbus, M-Bus, wireless M-Bus, 4–20 mA, 1–10 V and I²C interfaces.

Which platform harmonises readings from the distributed water instruments?

TRANGO receives, formats and organises the measurements for subsequent analysis.

Can instrument gateways send water-network records through LTE-M?

Yes. The gateway range uses NB-IoT and LTE-M cellular links.

What device-management work accompanies the water-network measurements?

TRANGO follows fleet status, remote configuration, firmware updates and faults in the data flow.

How is this deployment priced?
