How CI WorkOpt addresses it

CI WorkOpt collects equipment condition and operating-state readings across commercial buildings and workplaces and sends the readings to a secure cloud application. Dashboards and configurable rules show asset health, operating state, and abnormal trends, retaining history by site, zone, or asset. This gives facility, property, and energy teams the context to inspect or service the affected asset, helping them shorten response time and protect service continuity and document the response.

How it works

The solution uses a set of wireless, battery-powered IoT sensors (desk occupancy sensors, movement counters, IAQ sensors) spread across the workspace. These devices collect data like whether a desk is occupied, flow of people, number of people in corridors or zones, and environmental parameters (temperature, CO₂, pollutants, etc.). Data is transmitted via efficient IoT connectivity and shown on a dashboard platform. Building/facility managers can see real‐time and historical usage maps, alert thresholds, trends, etc. This allows operations driven by usage (e.g., cleaning or maintenance triggered by space usage rather than fixed schedule) and adjusting physical layout or resource allocation (e.g. lighting, HVAC) to real patterns rather than assumptions. Devices are certified and optimized for green building standards (WELL, LEED, RESET, BREEAM). This solution is already in use by property owners, building and facility management companies and commercial real estate portfolios, especially in Europe. Use cases include shared office spaces, corporate offices, coworking hubs, tenant spaces where space flexibility is valued, and high-traffic public building sections (lobbies, corridors).
