Municipal crews manage irrigation, fountains, and lighting in public green spaces through LoRa controllers with flow and rain sensors, cutting water waste from leaks and over-watering.

Canopy collects meter, flow, and equipment-status readings across streets and municipal assets and sends the readings to a secure cloud application. Dashboards and configurable rules show asset health, operating state, and abnormal trends, retaining history by site, zone, or asset. This gives municipal, public-works, and service teams the context to inspect or service the affected asset, helping them shorten response time and protect service continuity and document the response.
Canopy is a resource metering, condition monitoring, process optimization solution by SOLEM, delivered as Public SaaS / Edge/Local, serving Cities & Public Infrastructure.
The system is built from various hardware (controllers, sensors, gateways). Controllers include AC-powered and battery-powered irrigation controllers (e.g. LR-IS, LR-IP, LR-PM), lighting/fountain controllers (LR-OL), sensor modules (LR-MS, pressure sensors, flow meters), and gateways including solar-powered outdoor stations (Irrigation Station), 4G/WiFi/LoRa bridges (LR-BST-REACT, LR-MB-30), etc. Data is collected via LoRa (and sometimes Bluetooth / WiFi / 4G) from remote devices (controllers, sensors) to a gateway or outdoor station with weather station. The system integrates with MySOLEM mobile and web platform, allowing scheduling, alerts (leaks, overconsumption), flow monitoring, remote commissioning and configuration. Deployment is modular; municipalities can choose what to deploy depending on zones and scale. This is used in French municipalities and similar EU regions, for example in parks, city green zones, sports fields, fountains, public lighting, master valve / pump control. It is particularly useful in climates where water conservation is essential, or where budgets for maintenance are constrained, or where remote control / telemetry reduces manual inspections. It supports large installations (many stations/modules) with long range radio communications (up to ~800 m), often in LoRa ISM band EU868.
