Water level, rainfall and upstream readings travel over LoRaWAN to threshold-based alarms, giving municipalities time to warn residents and close flood gates before damage occurs.

Parks, venues, and recreational facilities depend on conditions and assets that change between scheduled inspections. Developing equipment faults may emerge without a clear indication of which site, zone, or asset needs attention. Utility, operations, and maintenance teams often rely on manual readings and disconnected systems, making it hard to compare current conditions with normal operation. This delays response and increases the chance of downtime, waste, safety exposure, or service disruption.
Bemondis FloodGuard collects flow, pressure, moisture, and leak signals across parks, venues, and recreational facilities and sends the readings to a cloud or on-premises application. Dashboards and configurable rules show condition trends and early fault indicators, retaining history by site, zone, or asset. This gives utility, operations, and maintenance teams the context to plan maintenance before failure, helping them reduce unplanned downtime and unnecessary service and document the response.
The system uses water-level sensors (radar or ultrasonic, or pressure sensors), potentially rain gauges or flow sensors, installed at key points (rivers, urban drainage, retention basins etc.). These sensors transmit data over LoRaWAN (bemondis’s supported network) to a cloud-backend, where dashboards visualize conditions, thresholds are set, and alerts are triggered (via SMS/email/app). Integration with external weather data or hydrological models may complement live sensor data. Gateways aggregate sensor data; devices are likely battery powered or solar for remote/harsh-environment deployment. Deployment is SaaS/cloud-based for monitoring and alerting; hardware needs installation at sensor locations, possibly custom mounting (flood-proofing, secure enclosures). The solution fits in with bemondis’s other water-monitoring (Hydrometry) offerings, leveraging overlapping hardware and platform components. This is used (or intended to be used) in flood-prone regions in Germany and Europe. Local authorities or environmental agencies would be the likely customers. Because bemondis lists “Flood Protection” explicitly among its solutions, it is part of their product suite alongside Hydrometry, Energy Monitoring etc.
