Intrinsically safe LoRaWAN nodes carry flow, pressure, and gas-quality readings from hazardous pipeline sites where cabling and external power are impractical.

Oil & gas depend on conditions and assets that change between scheduled inspections. Changes in equipment condition may emerge without a clear indication of which site, zone, or asset needs attention. Utility, operations, and maintenance teams often rely on manual readings and disconnected systems, making it hard to compare current conditions with normal operation. This delays response and increases the chance of downtime, waste, safety exposure, or service disruption.
Aircom collects location, movement, and asset-status signals across oil & gas and sends the readings to a secure cloud application. Dashboards and configurable rules show asset health, operating state, and abnormal trends, retaining history by site, zone, or asset. This gives utility, operations, and maintenance teams the context to inspect or service the affected asset, helping them shorten response time and protect service continuity and document the response.
Aircom uses intrinsically-safe LoRaWAN end nodes (Mini and Classic) that connect wirelessly to field sensors monitoring analog, digital, or serial inputs-covering data such as flow, pressure, temperature, gas quality, alarms, and more. These nodes transmit encrypted data (AES-128) over long-range LoRaWAN to gateways, which forward data via Ethernet or 4G to either a local server or cloud-based platform. Data is then delivered to SCADA or DCS systems via MQTT or Modbus interfaces. A topographical tool helps plan optimal gateway placement based on deployment geography. This solution covers end-to-end needs-from deployment planning and field-grade devices to network infrastructure and server/database integration-backed by local manufacturing in the UK and global expertise.
